Trouble logging in?
If all you get to see is a blank grey
box when you try to log-in to the chatroom, it means that your Internet browser is not
'Java' enabled.
How do I fix it?
For MS Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer 3
1. Choose View from the Menu bar, then Options.
2. Select the Security tab
3. Tick the boxes called Enable Java programs and Run ActiveX scripts then OK
Internet Explorer 4, 5 and 6
1. Choose Tools from the Menu bar, then Internet options.
2. Select the Security tab then the Custom Level button
3. In the dialogue box scroll down to the Scripting section, Active Scripting sub-section
and select Enable (click in the radio button)
4. Then in the dialogue box scroll down to the Microsoft VM section, Java Permissions and
select either High security, Medium Security or Low Security.
5. Select OK in each dialogue box.
Netscape
Netscape Navigator 3.xx
1. Choose Options from the menu bar, then Network preferences
2. Select the Languages tab
3. Tick the boxes called Enable Java and Enable JavaScript then OK
Netscape Navigator 4 and 6
1. Choose Edit from the menu bar, then Preferences
2. Select Category: Advanced
3. Tick the boxes called Enable Java and Enable JavaScript then OK
AOL
Recent versions should work... but if it doesn't, open MS Internet Explorer
(which comes with your computer) when connected to AOL and use that. If that doesn't work,
then proceed as above.
